At The DaVinci Institute, we are passionate about influencing the co-creation of humane sustainable societies. We are excited to announce the appointment of two exceptional leaders—Towera Gondwe and Dr Sam February—who will play pivotal roles in advancing this dream and supporting the growth of our academic and corporate communities.
Towera Gondwe: Executive: Governance and Registry
Towera brings a wealth of leadership experience, having spent over a decade in the higher education sector. Her governance and academic operations expertise, honed during her tenure overseeing academic administration and institutional development, will be instrumental in shaping our continued commitment to academic excellence.
Towera Gondwe’s leadership philosophy focuses on resilience, integrity, and collaborative problem-solving—values that resonate deeply with our business school's mission to develop agile, aligned, and engaged managerial leaders.
In her new role as Executive: Governance and Registry, Towera will oversee DaVinci's governance and regulatory aspects, ensuring that our operations adhere to the highest academic standards and contribute meaningfully to the transformation of the educational landscape. Her work will support our holistic approach to leadership, underpinned by our TIPS™ Framework, an integral tool that equips students with the skills needed to address complex business challenges with innovative solutions.
Dr Sam February: Executive: Business Development
Dr Sam February’s appointment as the Executive for Business Development reflects DaVinci's ongoing commitment to innovation and business leadership.
With his extensive experience in business development, executive education, and organisational strategy, Dr Sam is perfectly positioned to drive The DaVinci Institute’s strategic growth. He has demonstrated his ability to bridge the gap between academia and industry, with a particular focus on sustainability and leadership development. In his new role, Dr Sam will expand our business school's executive education offerings, forge new partnerships with industry leaders, and drive the creation of relevant programmes that prepare professionals to lead in the fast-evolving business environment.
His approach to leadership, which emphasises transdisciplinary learning and real-world application, aligns seamlessly with The DaVinci Institute’s belief in the power of innovation and systemic thinking to create business solutions that address societal challenges.

These new executives' leadership will support The DaVinci Institute’s continued differentiation through our TIPS™ Managerial Leadership Framework and Mode 2 learning approach. These frameworks ensure academic rigour and connect deeply with real-world challenges and opportunities. With their guidance, The DaVinci Institute is poised to expand its impact in South Africa and globally by preparing leaders who can tackle the complexities of today’s business world and drive sustainable societal change.
